Bala Ibrahim, a council area resident and deputy chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), reported that 17 individuals were wounded by bullets and that 14 people had died.
Only two people died in the incident, according to the state's police leadership, while eighteen more were hurt.

ASP Abubakar Aliyu, a spokesman for the state police command, confirmed the event and stated that 18 people were injured and two persons died while undergoing treatment.
"Yeah, during the Maulud procession at 11 p.m., there was an attack in Musawa LGA. An attack by bandits resulted in 18 persons being shot. For treatment, they were taken to the hospital by helicopter, according to Aliyu.
Two of them passed away later. To find the people responsible for these activities and possibly make an arrest, more research is being done.
