Six are jailed by a court for disseminating a video of a former Osun Speaker in naked.
Timothy Owoeye, the former speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, was the subject of fraud, cyberstalking, and the distribution of nude videos. For these crimes, the Federal High Court in Osogbo sentenced six people to prison.

In his decision, Justice Emmanuel Ayoola found the defendants guilty of cyberstalking the former lawmaker, conspiring, and defrauding advance fees.

Kazeem Agbabiaka, Femi Oyebode, Abdul-Rasheed Ojonla, Babatunde Oluajo, Adebiyi Kehinde, and Ismaila Azeez are the people who have been found guilty.

The convictions, according to the court, furthered the offense by posting Timothy Owoeye's nude film online and defrauding him of N38 million.

The accusatory video, which went viral in 2018, featured Owoeye in a compromised pose. The accompanying story said that Owoeye had taken a blood ritual bath in order to win the general election in 2019.

Following their apprehension, the guilty were first charged in front of a magistrate court. On October 19, 2018, the matter was moved to the Federal High Court, nonetheless.

The prosecution, headed by Moses Faremi, assistant director of public prosecution, produced fifty-seven exhibits during the trial.

Among these were three commercial banks' worth of bank statements, where the money that was obtained by fraud was deposited, along with a flash drive, compact disk, wooden box, $100 bill, and gun.

The defense attorney begged the court for mercy, pointing out that the guilty men were family men and first-time offenders.

But after announcing the decision, Justice Ayoola gave each prisoner a five-year prison sentence.
