Representatives reprimand Service Chiefs
The Service Chiefs' representatives have been rebuffed by the House of Representatives, which maintains that the chiefs must come before it on November 21 as scheduled.

This was said by Speaker Representative Tajudeen Abbas on Thursday upon the chiefs' delegates' arrival at plenary.

Thanking the delegates for coming to the chamber, Abbas asked them to tell the Service Chiefs that they should come back on November 21 at 11 a.m.

The military chiefs were called by the House to participate in a discussion on the nation's security issues.

However, by sending representatives to speak on their behalf, the lawmakers learned that the service chiefs had neglected to attend in person.

Rep. Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker, rose on constitutional order to state that the House was authorized by the constitution to invite anyone for conversation as well as investigation.

Instead of sending delegates, he claimed the service chiefs ought to have appeared before the house.

"That they are not physically present here is not satisfactory. "I propose suspending these sectoral engagements until the service chiefs visit us to personally address us," he said.
