Report denied by DHQ; General Christopher Musa still alive

The Defence Headquarters has denied a report published by an online news outlet that claimed the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, had passed away. 

In a statement, Defence spokesperson Tukur Gusau deemed the report "unfortunate, unethical, and lacking credibility." Gusau clarified that General Musa is "alive and hearty," having recently returned from an official assignment and resumed his duties with renewed energy. 

He mentioned that the online newspaper has retracted the news story and issued an unreserved apology to the CDS, his family, and the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
