The election of Honorable Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake to represent the Ethiopian federal seat of Delta State has been upheld by the Court of Appeal located in Lagos.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member Erhiatake defeated Ben Rolands Igbakpa of the NNPP, Mr. Halims Ahoda of the APC, and Ogboru Michael Etabunor of the APGA.
In Lagos on Tuesday, Hon. Justices Festus Ogbuinaya, Senchi, and Waziri rendered the verdict.
Ibori-Suenu is the daughter of Chief James Onanefe Ibori, a former Delta State governor and national leader of the PDP in the state.
Representative Erhiatake hailed the court of appeals' decision as a triumph for God and her citizens in a press release released on Tuesday.
She praised the court of appeals' ruling, declaring that democracy is here to stay.
