On Wednesday in Kaduna, ASP Mansur Hassan, the Command's spokesman, informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the victims were saved on November 13 by Command personnel.
He claimed that the accomplishment was made possible by increased patrols in the surrounding area, which forced the bandits to abandon their victims.
According to Hassan, the victims were abducted by the bandits on October 3 while traveling along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway to Kano. The victims have since been reunited with their relatives.
Tuesday at 1800 hours, a team monitoring the area of concern saw a man with a swollen face and severe discomfort.
"When questioned, the man claimed that a passenger who had stolen his motorcycle had attacked him with a hammer," the man stated.
According to the spokesman, the suspect was apprehended at the Bagadaza Dogarawa area in Sabo Garin Zaria LGA as a result of the agents' prompt action.
He stated that the suspect was found in possession of a motorcycle and a hammer by the police, and that the case was still being investigated.
Hassan asked for everyone's support while restating the command's resolve to combat crimes and criminalities in the state.
