This is stated in a statement that was issued on Friday by DSC Oluwaseun Abolurin, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the state command.
According to Abolurin, the event that was planned to damage the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's (NNPC) oil pipelines in Liberty Estate and the surrounding area of Alimosho Local Government Area (LGA) was stopped on Thursday.
He claimed that this was in keeping with the Commandant General (CG) of the NSCDC, CG Ahmed Audi, who has a zero-tolerance policy for any kind of economic sabotage in Nigeria.
"The Command was notified by the environment's people of petroleum product leaks, nearly causing panic and terror that resulted in the closure of certain businesses and schools on Thursday.
"Later in the afternoon, the NNPC maintenance team arrived on the location following proper notification from the Command.
The representative stated, "Maintenance operation was carried out on the lines."
Abolurin stated that sufficient protection and safety of people and property in the region had been guaranteed by the Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, and Commandant of Corps, Mr. Usman Alfadarai.
The Corps' operatives had previously surrounded the impacted area to keep dishonest people from taking advantage of the unpleasant circumstances.
In order to prevent additional compromise, Alfarai thus ordered instantaneous, round-the-clock attention, surveillance, patrol, and monitoring of the region.
Alfarai added, "The command will not rest on its oars to ensure that saboteurs are brought to account, so vandals should refrain from their actions."
According to Abolurin, the Lagos State Commandant expressed gratitude to the community's residents for providing timely, reliable, and useful intelligence that helped prevent situations that could have negatively affected the community.
