Former member of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Philip Olusesan Orebiyi, explained that Okun, a region in Kogi State, was not ready for a governor in the recent election due to the inability of its leaders to unite behind one candidate.
He cited the failure to resolve on one candidate and present a united front as a sign of unreadiness.
Orebiyi emphasized the importance of stability and resourcefulness in leadership.
He also criticized the actions of Dino Melaye, stating that Melaye rigged the congress for the PDP governorship primary election, causing irregularities and driving many PDP members, including himself, to defect to the APC.
Orebiyi highlighted the need for future Okun governors to preserve the old Kwara relationship.
