NNPP requests that NJC look into the ruling against Yusuf.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party's (NNPP) National Working Committee (NWC) has urged the National Judicial Council (NJC) to initiate an investigation into the Court of Appeal's judgment that removed Governor Kabir Yusuf from office in Kano State. 

The NNPP's National Secretary, Dipo Olayoku, expressed concerns about the judgment and suggested that the court might have altered its decision during the process, leaving the original conclusion mistakenly. 

The NNPP, being an interested party, called on the NJC, legal professionals, leaders, elders, and other stakeholders to investigate the matter, emphasizing the potential danger such signals from the judiciary pose to democracy in Nigeria. 

Olayoku also clarified that Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf is a genuine member of NNPP and participated in all party processes leading to his candidacy in the governorship election.
