NITDA starts a female ICT initiative to reduce the gender gap in technology.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) launched the Female Founder Training Program through its subsidiary, the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), in Abuja.

Mr Kashifu Inuwa, Director-General of NITDA, stated that the program aims to deepen digital literacy, equip women with tech skills, and bridge gender disparities in the technology industry.

The initiative seeks to discover and highlight innovative tech-based concepts and solutions created by women in Nigeria, encouraging the creation of digital employment opportunities.

Twelve successful candidates, strategically chosen to represent each geopolitical zone, emerged from the rigorous selection process. The program includes workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking opportunities to empower aspiring female entrepreneurs.
