He, along with the former accountant, Mr. Perez Friday Lakemfa, faced charges related to contracts fraud amounting to N285 million.
The charges included having an interest in and conferring corrupt advantages on themselves and relatives due to contracts awarded by the college.
Professor Agoro was found guilty on counts 1, 5 to 12, while Mr. Lakemfa was found guilty on counts 2 to 4.
The judge pronounced non-custodial sentences with fines of One Million Naira and One Hundred Thousand Naira for Professor Agoro and Mr. Lakemfa, respectively.
The charges revealed the personalized allocation of Tetfund funds to companies associated with the defendants and their relatives, violating due process and public procurement rules.
