Minister assigns stakeholders to address problems in the education sector
The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mammam, has urged stakeholders and industry leaders to collaborate with the government's initiatives in addressing challenges in the education sector. 


Represented by Mrs. Ezonebi Blessing Azorbo, the Director of Legal Services, the minister made this call during the 35th convocation and 76th anniversary of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Lagos. 


He acknowledged the existing challenges, including accessibility, equity, funding, teacher capacity, and institutional management, stating that collaborative efforts are necessary for effective solutions. 


The minister emphasized the importance of science and technology education, highlighting the government's commitment to supporting this sub-sector. 


He encouraged stakeholders to contribute to research, scholarships, capacity building, and other areas to enhance educational achievements. 


The rector, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the minister for the opportunity to serve the college and the nation. 


Fellowship awards were presented to Lady Christine Doja Otedola, Comrade Hassan Adebayo Sunmonu, and Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
