Voting materials and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) workers arrived early for the election, according to a NAN correspondent who visited polling places in Lokoja.
Voter accreditation and voting in Kogi Hotel Tourism Board polling unit 067 ward A began at 8.30 a.m. because the majority of voters had already lined up before the accreditation period.
Voters were observed waiting their time to cast ballots at polling place 065 ward A Saron Gari, where the identical circumstances existed.
Even though there was no security guard present at polling place 068 ward A, Baptist Plaza, people behaved peacefully.
The election went off without a hitch at polling unit 012 ward A at Crowder Memorial College, where there was also a high voter turnout.
The circumstances in the other Lokoja polling places were essentially the same.
