They emphasize that such a declaration is essential to address the decay in infrastructure, prevailing insecurity in schools, and low academic standards across various education levels in the country.
Dr. Ohen cited the example of his alma mater, Anglican Grammar School in Ubulu-Uku, Delta State, to illustrate the decline that has affected many schools in Nigeria.
He recalled the school's past reputation for excellence and emphasized the need for urgent intervention to restore educational standards.
The leaders made these statements while unveiling plans for an end-of-year forum organized by the Lagos chapter to review its activities in 2023 and strategize for 2024.
The forum, scheduled for November 25 at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), will provide an opportunity for members to unwind and elect new executive officers.
Mr. Odibeli expressed gratitude to Dr. Ohen for sponsoring the event and acknowledged the selfless contributions of both national and state executives in sustaining the association and supporting their alma mater.
