Kogi guber: Igbo community promises to vote for Ododo and the APC with 100% of the block
The Igbo Community Association (ICA) in the Confluence State has promised 100% block votes in the less than one week till the Kogi State governorship election, in order to guarantee a landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Usman Ododo.

This occurs while the organization is preparing for the November election by assuring State Governor Yahaya Bello of their unwavering support for his administration.

During a meeting with Governor Bello and Ododo over the weekend, the Igbo community provided these promises and declared their complete support for the APC candidate.

The coordinator of Igbo Groups Backing Ododo (IGBO), Hon. Moses Okezie-Okafor, spoke on behalf of the South East residents of Kogi State and thanked the Yahaya Bello Administration for its unwavering friendship with the Igbo community. He also highlighted the administration's many accomplishments.

Okezie-Okafor, a lawyer from Anambra State, revealed that he had been a member of the Kogi State Executive Council for more than seven years, thanks to Governor Yahaya Bello's merit-based leadership. He emphasized that the achievements of the state, which he explained encompass all sectors and constituencies, are equally shared by the Ndigbo people of Kogi State, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

He asked his people to vote in order to uphold the APC candidate's motto of "Continuity and Consolidation," noting that it was therefore based on shaky facts.

While expressing the group's gratitude to the governor, Chief Sunday Nwachukwu, the President of the ICA in Lokoja and Leader of the Delegation, acknowledged that the Igbo Community is a witness to the government's remarkable efforts in good governance throughout the state.

Nwachukwu promised that Ododo would have the support of the community and that he would carry on the momentum started by the governor, pointing out that Ododo has shown himself time and time again based on his record.

The Ndigbo in Kogi State would utilize their ballots to speak with one voice on Saturday, according to other speakers in the group who included women and youth leaders who agreed with the earlier speakers.

In response, APC candidate Ododo emphasized his long-standing connection with Ndigbo and pledged, if elected, to build on the administration's achievements. Ododo gave the Igbo leaders assurances that Kogi State would continue to receive democratic dividends and that the Ndigbo people will be more involved in the government.

In response to the Igbo Community's requests, the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigis, who represented the Governor, warmly answered, applauding their contributions to the state's advancement and complete absence from the Kogi State crime scene. In order to preserve the achievements of the Yahaya Bello administration, for which they have expressed gratitude, he asked them to stay focused and proactive and to support Alhaji Usman Ododo in the forthcoming governor's race on November 11.

After the meeting, the delegation gave the governor a gift as a token of appreciation on behalf of the Ndigbo people in Kogi State.
