Key Boko Haram figure and several others are eliminated by NAF strikes in Borno

 The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai successfully eliminated Abu Asad, a key Boko Haram leader, and others in airstrikes at Tagoshe on Mandara Mountains in Borno. 

Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet of the Nigerian Air Force reported the operation as one of the most successful recent strikes. 

The terrorists were observed massing up for a meeting or a potential attack on troops, with over 100 heavily armed individuals. 

The aftermath revealed the destruction of two structures and troop carriers. 

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, commended the operation and urged continued collaboration with the Land Component to keep up the pressure on terrorists.
