The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) PATHFINDER conducted a medical outreach in Opobo/Nkoro council of Rivers State to enhance positive Civil-Military relations. Commencing the "Free Medical Rhapsody" at Opobo General Hospital, the Commander of NNS Pathfinder, Commodore Desmond Igbo, highlighted that the initiative, guided by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, aims to improve public health in Navy establishments' host communities. 


The outreach, covering over 1000 beneficiaries, includes medical checks such as deworming, child vaccinations, dental checks, body vital inspections, and eye examinations. 


The Amayanabo of Opobo, King Dandison Jaja, emphasized the need for increased medical presence in the area, citing health challenges in the riverine terrain. 


The Medical Director of Opobo General Hospital and beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Navy for the impactful health initiative in the Niger Delta region.
