This was said by Mr. Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, the Commissioner of Police, at a briefing for reporters on Wednesday in Katsina.
Via the command's public relations officer, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, Abubakar-Musa stated that the suspects were taken into custody on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, cattle rustling, and culpable homicide.
He said that other people had been detained on suspicion of rape, drug possession, intimidation, provocation, and membership in criminal groups, among other offenses.
He claims that of the 75 cases that the police received reports on around the state, 72 have resulted in court charges.
The commissioner also stated that during the month, 23 kidnapped victims were freed, and among other things, a motorcycle, six rounds of live ammo, and a revolver were found.
In order to help the police and other security agencies apprehend offenders anywhere in the state, Abubakar-Musa pleaded with the people to supply them with timely and helpful information.
