In the Ilorin fire incident, seven Poly students and a gas attendant were hurt.

A fire incident occurred at a gas refilling shop near the Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin hostel, resulting in injuries to seven students and a gas attendant.

Theincident took place at Destiny Villa on Dola Abimbola Street, Elekoyangan area in Ilorin East Local Council on Saturday night. 

The fire was triggered when a gas cylinder being refilled fell and exploded. 

The Kwara State Fire Service responded promptly, finding a building with 17 rooms ablaze. 

Seven individuals sustained injuries, and property worth about N14.6 million was lost, while an estimated N72.2 million worth of property was saved.
