Four servicemen perished in the disaster, according to a statement released by NIS on Monday by its spokeswoman, Adedotun Aridegbe, while seven others were injured to varying degrees.
According to the commission, injured victims are presently being treated at Kano's Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
It further stated that the funeral plans for the deceased coworkers are being made with the highest regard and care.
Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, the Acting Comptroller General of Immigration (CGI), conveyed her profound sorrow over the four personnel's passing and offered her sympathies to their relatives.
In addition, Adepoju ordered all NIS Commands and Formation Heads to observe a three-day period of mourning in remembrance of the departed comrades and fly the flag at half-mast for the next seven days.
The Acting CGI has directed an immediate investigation to determine the accident's remote cause.
