The foundation announced that the conference would be held under the theme, "Accelerating Steel Sector Development in Nigeria -Achieving Zero Corruption in Procurement Management." Industry insiders, government officials, members of civil society, and media are anticipated to attend.
Dr. Musa M. Rabiu, the executive secretary of the foundation, states that notable speakers and attendees are anticipated at the conference. Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, the minister of steel development, will give the keynote address on the theme, and Abdullah Bukar, the chairman of the foundation's board of trustees, will chair the proceedings.
Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited (ASCL) Sole Administrator Sumaila Abdul-Akaba, National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the Strategy Implementation Office for the Presidential Executive Order 5, Ibiam Oguejiofo, Director-General of the Imo State Bureau of Public Procurement Paschal Egwim, and Director-General of the Institute for Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa Dr. Lanre Adebayo are among the experts invited to speak on the steel sector and procurement issues.
Legislators from the National Assembly, leaders of the corporate sector from all sectors, and representatives from anti-corruption organizations, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), will also be present at the conference.
