Nwifuru made the claim on Tuesday in Abakaliki when he hosted the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) management team in his office.
The governor demanded an increase in the state's electrical supply, pointing out that Ebonyi should have access to electricity more than other states because it has less businesses.
We both know that a firm cannot function properly without electricity.
"EEDC should intensify its measures to combat cable theft and other issues.
"We will not stand by and do nothing after this conference if a solution cannot be reached; we were chosen by the people to speak and act on their behalf, and we cannot let them suffer.
It's imperative that citizens receive value for their money. Many are losing faith in themselves and are already looking for other sources of power.
"We need to address the issues of overbilling, vandalism, and inadequate supply that we face in Ebonyi," the governor declared.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EEDC, Mr. Praveen Chorghede, had earlier praised the Governor for his company's assistance.
According to Chorghede, the purpose of the visit to the governor was to fine-tune measures taken to guarantee the state's electrical infrastructure developed sustainably.
"EEDC's commitment to a sustainable and dependable electricity infrastructure throughout the state will guarantee increased economic growth for the populace," he declared.
He mentioned that the EEDC currently has plans to provide its clients in the state with enough electricity within the next three years.
He added that the EEDC intends to make over N247 billion in investments in the region.
