Between June 2022 and June 2023, 141,000 Nigerians immigrated to the UK.

A total of 141,000 Nigerians migrated to the United Kingdom (UK) between June 2022 and the year ending June 2023, according to the latest figures from UK authorities. 

The UK's changing immigration laws, set to take effect from January, include restrictions on family members accompanying foreign students for non-research postgraduate courses. Nigerian nationals studying in the UK have increased, reaching 59,053 as of December 2022. 

The top five non-EU nationalities for immigration flows into the UK in the year ending June 2023 were Indian (253,000), Nigerian (141,000), Chinese (89,000), Pakistani (55,000), and Ukrainian (35,000).
