This is stated in a statement made on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC's Head of Press and Public Relations.
Ani claimed that Arase personally signed a letter to Egbetokun expressing his congratulations.
The I-G's humility and openness to hearing suggestions and worries over matters impacting the Nigeria Police Force, according to the PSC chairman, drew him in.
This has contributed significantly to the development of goodwill between the commission and the Nigeria Police Force.
He added, "It has also contributed to the restoration of a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship between these two essential institutions of government."
Arase went on to say that the I-G's confirmation was proof of the unshakable dedication and strong sense of accountability he has shown in carrying out his duties since taking office on June 19.
He asserted that Nigerians have faith in Egbetokun's abilities to defuse and manage the country's current security crisis because of his vision for the police, leadership, and integrity.
According to Arase, the I-G will continue to have a big influence on the police because of his reliance on his military expertise combined with his impressive academic background.
He stated his belief that Egbetokun would have an amazing and remarkable tour of duty.
