This was said in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja by Ajulo, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Egalitarian Mission for Africa (EMA).
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the impeachment of Deputy Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the absence of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu have exacerbated the political crisis in Ondo State.
He claimed that on November 13, the state finally found comfort at a crucial meeting held at the home of Afenifere leader Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
Ajulo stated that in the middle of the current political unrest, the state's elders and leaders forum convened to talk about peace and development.
Ajulo had earlier called on the state elders to step in and address the situation that was upsetting the state's government and inflaming tensions between its political players.
He praised the elders for answering the summons and emphasized the importance of the meeting, expressing optimism about Ondo State's capacity to handle problems on its own.
Ajulo encouraged the indigenous people to support the movement started by the unified front of Ondo elders, stating that cooperative efforts were necessary to ensure a peaceful coexistence.
According to NAN, in an effort to end the standoff between Akeredolu and his deputy, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the national head of Afenifere, met with a few state elders on Monday.
