According to the BOI chief, boosting Nigeria's economy requires supporting modular refineries.
The Managing Director of the Bank of Industry Limited (BOI), Dr. Olasupo Olusi, has expressed the institution's commitment to partnering with modular refineries as a viable means of addressing economic challenges in Nigeria. 


During a facility visit to Waltersmith Refinery in Imo State, Olusi, along with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Management Board, Engr. 


Simbi Wabote, emphasized BOI's support for efforts that add value to the Nigerian economy. 


The partnership aims to promote local content production, manage inflation, and contribute to the development of modular refineries. 


Sen. Lokpobiri advocated for more active modular refineries, stating that the government is willing to provide support, including funding, to encourage productivity in the sector. 


The Chairman and Co-Founder of Waltersmith Group of Companies, Abdulrazaq Isa, highlighted the company's goal of industrializing the South East and reducing energy poverty in Nigeria by providing energy access and creating job opportunities.
