The smuggled cars were taken away from the smugglers on Tuesday, according to FOU Comptroller Dalha Wada, at various points in the North-Central and North-West zones.
Wada also voiced concern over the fact that some smugglers were employing bandits in the northern area to help them bring illegal goods into the nation, which was a novel way for them to avoid being caught.
He reported that the squad had made 242 seizures of 21 distinct goods in a span of three months.
In the meantime, N2.8 billion worth of pharmaceuticals and textile products with a total Duty Paid Value were seized.
Approximately two thousand sacks of imported parboiled rice, cartons of vegetable oil, bales of imported used clothing and shoes, and medications are among the products.
For additional prosecution, the Comptroller turned over the case to a representative of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
