The Federal Government has initiated the online application process for the recruitment of 37 Learning Community Managers nationwide under the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program. The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy (FMCIDE) announced the commencement of the recruitment, intending to appoint a Community Manager for each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).FMCIDE emphasized the role of the 37 Learning Community Managers in coordinating activities within the #3MTT Learning Community across Nigeria.
These managers will be responsible for leading, building, and maintaining 3MTT's community of technical talent, implementing scalable programs to prepare aspiring Nigerian Technologists for the tech workforce and opportunities in the digital economy.
The job specifications outline that Community Managers will own the brand of 3MTT in each state, animating existing members and attracting new participants.
They will develop state-specific and regional strategies, outreach, and messaging, while also creating models, metrics of success, and growth strategies for the long-term success of the 3MTT community within each state.
Additionally, the Community Managers will support the team in developing and tracking metrics for measuring learner progress and selection effectiveness.
They will oversee the sourcing of volunteer facilitators, experts, venues, hubs, and other stakeholders to host meetups and events in Nigeria.
The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program is a crucial element of the Renewed Hope agenda, aiming to bolster Nigeria's technical talent to drive the digital economy and position the country as a net talent exporter.
The program's first phase, conducted in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), involves various stakeholders, including fellows, training providers, partners, and placement organizations.
