According to Mr. Iro Danladi, the Sector Commandant of the Federal Roads Safety Corps in Zamfara, twelve individuals died in an automobile accident on Wednesday on Gusau-Funtua Road.
Danladi informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that a truck and an 18-seater bus from the Zamfara State Mass Transport Company were involved in the collision.
According to him, there were twenty-five people on the bus when it crashed.
The other thirteen passengers, according to Danladi, were all hospitalized at Tsafe General Hospital in Zamfara after they suffered injuries.
The head-on incident was caused by overspeeding and improper passing, according to the sector commander.
Danladi issued a warning to drivers about various traffic infractions, including overloading, improper overtaking, and excessive speeding.
