Yekini Nabena criticizes Atiku for calling for Tinubu to resign in the CSU saga.
Yekeni Nabena, the ex-Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed disapproval towards the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, over his demand that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu step down from his role.

In a statement made in Abuja, Nabena contended that Atiku's stance was disrespectful, given that the Supreme Court has not yet reached a verdict on his case to invalidate President Tinubu's election.

According to Nabena, Nigerians have transitioned to a new era under the leadership of President Tinubu, indicating that Atiku Abubakar would not be able to regress the nation's progress.

Nabena contended that Atiku's assertions regarding the authenticity of Tinubu's Chicago State University diploma were a pre-election issue that has since been disregarded.

He urged Atiku Abubakar to commence preparations for a future electoral competition in 2027, as is customary, instead of impeding the progress of the nation.

According to Nabena, in contrast to the media's misinformation propagated by Atiku and opposition parties, it has been stated that Caleb Westberb, the registrar of Chicago State University (CSU), did not make any claims regarding the alleged forgery of the certificate submitted by President Tinubu to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nigeria.

The speaker emphasized the importance of exercising caution when encountering manipulative information disseminated by opposing groups, as these reports have the potential to generate uncertainty and elicit popular sympathy.

As to the statement made by the APC chieftain, it is asserted that Nigeria is an autonomous nation and unless the supreme judicial body declares otherwise, President Bola Tinubu's election remains valid and he would continue to govern the nation.

The individual hailing from Bayelsa and holding a prominent position inside the All Progressives Congress (APC) urged party affiliates, President supporters, and the entire Nigerian populace to dismiss any endeavors made by opposition parties to generate unwarranted unrest and render the nation ungovernable.

Nabena drew the attention of Nigerian Justices and the Supreme Court to the alleged contempt of court committed by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in relation to the ongoing legal case.

The individual expressed their suggestion that the former Vice President should commence preparations for a subsequent election in the year 2027, as has been customary. Engaging in contentious political discourse prior to the election would not result in his attainment of the presidency in Nigeria.

Atiku Abubakar ought to be cognizant of the fact that Nigerians have progressed beyond his relevance. The nation is currently experiencing effective governance as a result of the administration's shown responsiveness and accountability.

The current state of affairs in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies is noteworthy. Nigerians can now expect a significant reduction in the waiting time for the issuance of their international passports, as over 204,000 pending applications have been successfully processed within a span of three weeks. Additionally, it is worth considering the welfare initiatives introduced by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, particularly those aimed at supporting the elderly population. Furthermore, the government has taken a decisive action by eliminating the fuel subsidy, which has long been a burden on the nation. Moreover, the government has demonstrated its commitment to intervening in key sectors such as Aviation, Health, Transport, Economy, Agriculture, and Security, among others.

According to Nabena, the Renewed Hope Agenda has already demonstrated its efficacy, and the Nigerian populace is determined to prevent any individual, be it Atiku or Peter Obi, from impeding the nation's progress and reverting it to a state of underdevelopment.
