What caused my fall at the ministerial screening?
Balarabe Abbas, a minister hailing from Kaduna State, experienced a sudden physical collapse at the ministerial screening session held on Wednesday. He has attributed this incident to a state of extreme fatigue.

Abbas was among three newly proposed cabinet candidates that underwent scrutiny during the Senate proceedings.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a written correspondence addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday, formally requested the approval of three supplementary candidates for cabinet position

During the screening process, Abbas suddenly lost consciousness, prompting senators to quickly come to his assistance and promptly call for medical assistance.

Subsequent to the occurrence, the Senate President was observed making a request for water and sugar in order to resuscitate the ministerial nominee.

In a conversation with journalists subsequent to the occurrence, Abbas expressed, "I am currently in a satisfactory physical condition." I have undergone medical treatment and have since experienced a satisfactory recovery. The primary cause can be attributed to fatigue.

Abbas, along with Dr. Jamila Ibrahaim and Ayodele Olawande, was subsequently confirmed by the Senate.
