The commendation was given by Egbewole, as stated in a statement made by the University's Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, over the weekend. This commendation was in response to a solicitation letter previously sent to the Governor by the university's management.
The individual indicated that they obtained indications of the Governor's direction from their interactions with select high-ranking state government officials.
He stated, “The directive would greatly facilitate vehicular movement during the University’s forthcoming Convocation ceremonies slated for Friday, 20th, Saturday, 21st, and Monday, 23rd October, 2023.”
Egbewole additionally conveyed appreciation to the governor for his commitment to repairing the deteriorated sections of the University road leading up to the main gate prior to the designated convocation dates.
The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that Mallam AbdulRazaq's swift response to the school's request distinguished him as a Governor who is attentive to the concerns of the institution.
He, nevertheless, said a prayer to the Almighty Allah, beseeching for His continued guidance and protection over the Governor.
