Before the FEC meeting began at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu delivered the warning.
"I saw someone entering and leaving this council covertly last week. This site was accessible to people when they shouldn't have been. That is not going to happen.
"Those who are expected to be here will be announced to you here.
"Special Advisor on Policy Coordination Hadiza Usman, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, principal private secretary; Damilotun Aderemi, private secretary; and Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy.
"These are the individuals who have been given permission to be present when we are carrying out national business. Don't come unless I sent for you.
The president gave orders for George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Folashade Yemi-Esan, Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), to observe.
"No one should be allowed to attend the FEC meeting unless they are members of your staff, and I have already informed you of their identities.
He continued, "Let me also add that event planning involving the government needs to be clearly stated and adhered to."
Nonetheless, Tinubu stated that he had complete faith in Femi Gbajabiamila, his chief of staff.
"There are numerous rumors circulating around the situation. I've made it clear to everyone in this nation that I'm human.
I've got to correct them and give them a chance to talk. The only perfect being is God Almighty. My Chief of Staff is someone I completely trust to be honest.
"Every campaign of slander and defamation ought to end."
