Three suspects in fraud have been charged by the police in court.
The Lagos Police Command has officially verified that it has initiated legal proceedings against three individuals accused of engaging in fraudulent activities. These suspects were apprehended in the Idumota region of the state.

According to a statement issued by Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos state Police, the apprehension of three individuals involved in fraudulent activities was carried out by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS). The suspects were apprehended while they were unlawfully detaining a non-compliant victim.

According to Hundeyin, the victim, a 23-year-old female whose identity has been suppressed, embarked on a journey from Gerard Road Ikoyi to Iyana Oworo. She entered the suspects' Volkswagen Vento salon car, bearing the registration number BDG 513 EJ, but was then abducted and brought against her will to Idumota.

According to the speaker, three individuals, namely Austin Okoro (male, 47 years old), the ringleader, Godwin Asezour (male, 54 years old), and Susan Elohor (female, 42 years old), engaged in a fraudulent scheme where they attempted to deceive their target by introducing her to their said money-doubling enterprise.

As per the statement provided by the Police spokesperson, the victim observed an RRS patrol unit at Idumota and effectively alerted them, resulting in the swift apprehension of the offenders.

According to Hundeyin, the three individuals in question have been formally indicted and brought before a court of law subsequent to the conclusion of the investigation conducted by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi and his team, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
