The new CEO of NAHCON is appointed by Tinubu.
Jalal Ahmad Arabi has been appointed by President Bola Tinubu to lead the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for a period of four years as chairman and chief executive officer.


The presidency also agreed to dissolve the NAHCON Board, according to a statement made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the president's spokeswoman.


Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, the departing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, has been ordered by the President to begin taking the 3-month pre-retirement leave provided for by Public Service Rule (PSR) 120243 on October 18, 2023, with the goal of retiring from his position on January 17, 2024.


Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi, the new Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), will take over in an acting capacity on October 18, 2023, and continue to serve in that position for an additional four years, starting on January 17, 2024.


The President anticipates the new NAHCON leadership will serve with the utmost respect for Allah and devotion to the rules of duty as prescribed by the Holy Qur'an. Ngelale remarked
