The Fame Foundation calls for funding for girls' rights.
The FAME Foundation has issued a plea for the investment in girls' rights in observance of the International Day of the Girl Child 2023 (IDG2023).

During a press conference, Arabinrin Aderonke Ogunleye-Bello, the Executive Director of FAME Foundation, emphasized the need of acknowledging and allocating resources towards the promotion of girls' rights.

Females possess the potential to become the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our society. By allocating resources towards the protection and promotion of individuals' rights, we provide them with the means to actively contribute towards the creation of a more favorable and inclusive future for society as a whole. To commemorate this occasion, the FAME Foundation is organizing a workshop aimed towards girls, as a demonstration of their dedication to fostering and bolstering their development.

This event aims to offer an opportunity for young girls to actively engage in self-discovery, articulate their perspectives, and avail themselves of many resources that will empower them to assume leadership roles within their respective communities.

Additionally, she highlighted that girls encounter a multitude of obstacles on a global scale, such as instances of discrimination, restricted opportunities for education, early marriage, and acts of violence based on gender. The current topic for this year urges individuals to dismantle these obstacles and allocate resources towards the advancement of girls' rights.

The speaker further asserted that the allocation of resources towards the advancement of girls' rights include the provision of equitable possibilities for education, healthcare, and access to other prospects. This entails establishing a setting in which young women are empowered to make well-informed choices regarding their personal life and physical well-being.

Additionally, it entails safeguarding individuals against various manifestations of abuse, exploitation, and detrimental practices. The promotion of girls' rights facilitates the development of their leadership capabilities, so contributing to the creation of a more equitable and promising global society for all individuals.

Ms. Ogunleye-Bello emphasized the significance of the girl-child, asserting that girls play a crucial role in our society, and their welfare has a direct influence on the well-being of our communities and nations.

Investing in females is synonymous with investing in the well-being of our future. Therefore, it is imperative to implement tangible measures in order to effect meaningful change. As we observe this occasion, it is important to bear in mind that the act of investing in females is a continuous and ongoing process. The successful achievement of this endeavor necessitates a shared commitment and unwavering attention from all involved parties.

The non-profit organization will emphasize the significance of encouraging girls to assume leadership roles and flourish, under the theme "Invest in Girls' Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being." This will involve a particular emphasis on girls' rights and the imperative for them to have access to various opportunities.
