Supreme Court permits live transmission of the ruling in the presidential election

The Supreme Court has given its consent for live transmission of the ruling on the presidential election petitions filed in February 2023. The area surrounding the supreme court and the surrounding roadways is surrounded by heavily armed security guards.  

The petition against President Bola Tinubu filed by Mr. Peter Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was pending decision by Justice Inyang Okoro and six other members of the apex court. Uwani Abaji, Lawal Garba, Ibrahim Saulawa, Adamu Jauro, Tijani Abubakar, and Emma Agim are the other justices on the seven-member bench.
