Over the killing of a journalist in Zamfara, police detain a nephew and others.
The Zamfara State Police Command has apprehended two individuals, namely Mansur Haruna and Ibrahim Nababa, on charges of perpetrating the homicide of Hamisu Danjibga, a respected journalist, within the state.


On Tuesday evening, the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Shehu Dalijan, presented the accused at the police command headquarters in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.


According to Dalijan, the demise of Danjibga, a journalist affiliated with the Voice of Nigeria, was attributed to the actions of his nephew, Mansur Haruna, and his associate, Ibrahim Nababa.


According to his assertion, the apprehension of the two individuals occurred subsequent to the journalist's homicide, as a result of the prompt and decisive response by law enforcement.


According to the commissioner of police, it has been reported that the primary suspect, Mansur Haruna, has provided a confession to the police regarding the altercation with Danjibga. The confession includes details of their attempted abduction of Danjibga, the ensuing struggle, and the subsequent decision to fatally harm him.


Simultaneously, law enforcement authorities apprehended an alleged criminal with expertise in the transportation of military equipment from Aba in Abia State to a designated area for bandits in the Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
