Ogun receives the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta road project from the FG.

Yesterday, the Ogun State Government announced that it was prepared to take over the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road project from the Federal Government and turn it into a world-class highway.

The route, which passes between the states of Lagos and Ogun, has long been in terrible shape, causing countless hardships for drivers, particularly those from Ogun State.

The Federal Government granted its consent on Monday in response to Governor Abiodun's attempts to take control of the route.

Following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday at Aso Villa in Abuja, Minister of Works David Umahi gave a speech on the new federal government position.

When such requests are submitted, Umahi stated, "We grant approval within 24 hours, but there are restrictions must be satisfied, such as they must adopt the Federal Ministry of Works standard designs.
