Ndigbo organization supports Tinubu and cautions Atiku and Obi not to hinder democracy.

The Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative (OPI) has expressed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Under the leadership of Ambassador Ginika Tor, the assembled group expressed their disapproval during a news conference in Abuja on the purported campaign of defamation being conducted by the Presidential candidates of the opposition parties, namely Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), against President Tinubu.

The collective, comprised of individuals from various regions of the nation, advised Abubakar and Obi to exercise patience and await the verdict of their appeal lodged against Tinubu at the Supreme Court, rather than engaging in actions that may hinder the progress of the President Tinubu-led administration's renewed hope program.

The organization argued that Atiku Abubakar's attempt to undermine the credibility of the President also constitutes an act of damaging or besmirching Nigeria's reputation in the eyes of the global world, with the intention of persuading individuals to believe that President Bola Tinubu presented a purportedly counterfeit certificate to INEC.

Accompanied by fellow group members, she urged President Tinubu to devise a strategy that would ensure the inclusion of numerous capable progressives who not only align with his developmental vision but have also exerted considerable effort in facilitating the establishment of the current administration.

Tor, the individual who initiated the Igbo kwenu for Asiwaju/Shettima during the election campaign, contended that allowing individuals from these specific groups to serve in various roles is the most effective means of achieving the objectives outlined in his Renewed Hope vision. This is because they are stakeholders in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The collective expressed their stance by stating that the issue is currently undergoing legal proceedings. They have made the deliberate decision to abstain from providing any remarks on the matter. However, they feel compelled to emphatically refute the falsehoods propagated by an esteemed political figure who, in light of his aspirations to hold the highest position in Nigeria, should prioritize the welfare of the nation and exhibit unwavering patriotism.

The attempt to discredit the reputation of Nigerians in the eyes of the international community, as demonstrated by the individual in question, is indicative of a state of desperation.

The OPI organization would want to use this moment to urge Nigerians to maintain their understanding and trust in the capacity of the President to address the numerous challenges, particularly those pertaining to the economy and national security, now faced by the country.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to addressing these challenges at their core rather than implementing superficial remedies to conceal underlying problems.

Over the course of the previous four months, the Tinubu administration has been diligently establishing the necessary foundation for a highly wealthy Nigeria, wherein the benefits of prosperity would gradually extend to the grassroots level, ultimately benefiting the average citizen. While the journey may involve challenges and difficulties, the ultimate outcome will result in enduring alleviation and long-term economic well-being for all individuals involved.

We respectfully urge the President to maintain a rigorous approach in advancing the socioeconomic, security, and political inclusivity of Nigeria.

We hope that the President will continue to demonstrate his reputation as a responsible leader, one who promotes unity and transcends tribal affiliations in Nigeria. This is crucial in order to ensure fair distribution of appointments, fostering inclusivity and fostering a sense of national loyalty.
