NAF airstrikes in Borno and Zamfara kill terrorists and destroy gun trucksAccording to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Air Components of Operations Hadin Kai and Hadarin Daji have successfully conducted a series of air strikes in various locations within the theaters, resulting in the elimination of numerous terrorists.


The aforementioned statement was issued by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in the city of Abuja on Sunday.


According to Gabkwet, the Air component conducted air interdiction sorties on Saturday morning towards a recently discovered terrorists' stronghold located near the Lake Chad region in Borno.


According to his statement, the implementation of the strikes was deemed necessary subsequent to the confirmation that the recent transfer of terrorists from Suwa to the Bukar Meram general vicinity was perhaps intended to facilitate a resurgence of assaults on both military personnel and non-combatant individuals.


As per his account, the authorization for air attacks was granted at the specific site in Bukar Meram with the objective of eliminating the terrorists.


According to the speaker, the feedback acquired subsequent to the strikes indicated that the anticipated result was successfully attained, with a number of terrorists being eliminated and a significant amount of resources, including 40 motorcycles and six gun trucks, being rendered inoperable.


According to a spokesperson from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), comparable aerial attacks were executed against terrorists on October 11th by the Air Component of Operation Haradin Daji in the vicinity of the Sangeko axis within the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara.


According to the speaker, the individuals identified as terrorists were traveling in a convoy consisting of around 70 motorbikes along the road track from Kabaro to Sangeko. It was reported that these individuals were later confronted, resulting in the neutralization of many members, destruction of their motorcycles, and injuries sustained by others.


According to Gabkwet, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, expressed his appreciation for the high level of professionalism and commitment demonstrated by the Air Components.


He cited Abubakar's statement, which praised the great efforts and support provided to the ground forces. It is imperative to maintain concentration and avoid complacency in order to consistently provide our population with the necessary assurance to prosper.
