Musa Aliyu is confirmed by the Senate to lead the ICPC.
Musa Aliyu's appointment as the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) was ratified by the Senate on Thursday.

Following a roughly hour-long closed session to screen the nominations, the higher parliamentary chamber proceeded with the confirmation procedure.

The Senate also gave its approval to Saka Bolaji Suleiman and Prof. Gaji Dantata's appointments to the Federal Judicial Service Commission, in addition to Aliyu.

After being confirmed, Aliyu spoke before the Senate, outlining his plans to rewrite the history of the fight against corruption.

Aliyu declared that he would work to find assets linked to corruption and turn them over to the authorities or the person who was harmed.

He went on to say that the commission will carry out thorough investigations and spare no effort to disgrace individuals.
