Mohbad: Primeboy turns himself in to the police for questioning
The Lagos State Police Command has officially verified that Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, has voluntarily presented himself for questioning about the demise of Afrobeats artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad.


The Lagos Police spokesperson, Ben Hundeyin, announced on Wednesday that Primeboy is being sought after due to his non-compliance with the invitation extended to him during the ongoing investigation into the events surrounding Mohbad's demise.


On Thursday, Hundeyin released a formal statement on X (formerly known as Twitter) to officially declare that Primeboy is currently under the custody of the Police.


According to the statement, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin, also known as Primeboy, has surrendered himself subsequent to being designated a fugitive.


The individual in question has promptly been apprehended for the purpose of interrogation and any other requisite measures.


Hundeyin emphasized that the Lagos State Police Command reiterates its commitment to conducting a thorough investigation, leaving no aspect unexplored, in order to provide assurance to the family, friends, admirers of Mohbad, and the wider public.


According to the Police spokesman, it is affirmed that individuals who are determined to be responsible for the demise of Mr. Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, would undoubtedly face legal consequences and be subjected to the judicial process.


In the meanwhile, it is noteworthy that a Magistrate Court situated in Yaba, Lagos State, issued a directive on Wednesday, stipulating that Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, Samson Balogun Eletu, who goes by the alias Sam Larry, and two additional individuals, are to be detained in relation to the demise of Mohbad.


The Court has ordered that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Ogedengbe Fisayo, and Ayobami Sadiq be detained in police custody for a duration of 21 days. This decision has been made in order to facilitate ongoing investigations into the individuals responsible for the musician's untimely demise.


The Lagos State Police formally petitioned for a 30-day period of custody for Naira Marley and the other people referenced.


Nevertheless, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun opted to incarcerate the proprietor of Marlian documents and the accompanying individuals for a reduced duration of precisely 21 days.


Olatubosun requested the detainment of the individuals involved in the case at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) of the police, while the presiding judge postponed the proceedings to the 25th of October.


Additionally, she issued an order stipulating that the individuals under suspicion, who have been charged with conspiracy and suspected murder, should be afforded the opportunity to consult with medical professionals and legal counsel of their preference.


Naira Marley and Sam Larry, a prominent figure in Lagos social circles, are currently under investigation in relation to the untimely death of Mohbad, which occurred on September 12.
