Minister wants redress for woman who died after being pushed from 'one chance' vehicle
The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy, has expressed her commitment to pursuing justice in the case of the deceased individual, Greatness Olorunfemi, who tragically lost their life due to being forcibly ejected from a moving car.

Kennedy had conveyed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of a hospital in Abuja that refused admission to a critically injured individual who had fallen victim to a violent 'one chance' assault.

On Wednesday, the Minister made an unannounced visit to the hospital located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and expressed that the occurrence should not be disregarded or concealed.

According to the cardiologist, the administration of a single pill during nighttime has the potential to reduce blood pressure levels and promote the clearance of blood vessels within a span of six days. Pharmaceutical products are retailed at the pharmacy.

Kennedy emphasized the necessity of conducting a follow-up during his unannounced visit to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital.

The aforementioned matter has become a persistent occurrence, whereby several individuals in urgent need of medical assistance are being denied access to such care, resulting in later fatalities. It is imperative to ensure the preservation of the lives of women and children without any compromise.

The individual who has passed away was not just a familial relation, but also a member of our nation, Nigeria, and as such, possessed the inherent entitlement to the safeguarding of her fundamental human rights.

According to Kennedy, she encountered Mrs. Habiba Musa, the Matron overseeing the Accident and Emergency Unit, who affirmed that the individual in question was brought in deceased on Thursday, September 26th, and was not refused medical care.

Musa said that the patient's pulse exhibited thready characteristics and her heart rate had ceased upon her arrival at the medical facility.

The Minister of Women Affairs expressed skepticism over the alibi put forth by the individuals in question.

The individual expressed a desire to meet with Dr. Igbinovia Imuentien, the Chief Medical Director, but was informed that the doctor was unavailable due to a scheduled meeting.

Kennedy stated that she was notified of the convening of an autonomous investigative panel situated within the Health Secretariat, and thereafter relocated to the designated venue for the aforementioned proceedings.

Dr. Adedolapo Fasawe, the Mandate Secretary for Health Services and Environment in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), conveyed to me that a comprehensive inquiry of the occurrence had been initiated through the establishment of an Independent Investigative Panel.

As per Fasawe's account, the panel is comprised of several entities such as Non-governmental organizations, Civil Society Organisations, Council of Nurses, and other relevant bodies. The panel's primary objective is to conduct an inquiry and ascertain the accurate facts that resulted in the unfortunate demise of the individual in question.

In response to the Minister's request, the Mandate Secretary incorporated the Youth Council of Nigeria onto the Panel of Investigation.
