"Masked man" wanted by police in Adamawa for reportedly raping his neighbor's wife

The law enforcement authorities in Adamawa have officially verified the apprehension of a 36-year-old individual named Jaafar Adamu. The arrest was made on the grounds of an alleged act of sexual assault committed against the spouse of his neighboring resident within the Hong Local Government Area.

The aforementioned information is delineated within a statement that has been endorsed by the spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, in Yola on the day of Wednesday.

According to Yahaya-Nguroje, the apprehension of the suspect occurred on September 15th.

According to the individual's account, the perpetrator, who was wearing a facial covering, allegedly committed the act of sexual assault against the spouse of his neighboring resident, a 23-year-old woman, within the vicinity of Angwan Diocese Kala'a in Hong Town.

Regrettably, subsequent to the commission of the offense, the perpetrator's facial covering became dislodged, so enabling the victim to identify him. The individual managed to evade capture first, but subsequently, he was arrested," he stated.

According to his statement, the law enforcement authorities are presently conducting an investigation into the issue at hand, and he anticipates facing legal prosecution.
