Kwara governor praises standards after touring the newly constructed medical facilities at Ilorin General Hospital.
During his Monday inspection of the newly constructed medical facilities at the state General Hospital in Ilorin, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his satisfaction with the caliber of the work completed thus far.

Dr. Ahmed Bola Abdulkadir, the hospital's chief medical director, and Dr. AbdulRaheem Malik, the executive secretary of the State Hospital Management Board, gave the governor a tour of the facilities.

Dental clinics, an eye clinic, a new ICU, and a few VIP patient rooms are among the new facilities.

Following the tour, Governor AbdulRazaq made a statement stating that the government's dedication to offering Kwara State residents top-notch healthcare services is reflected in the new facilities. In order to guarantee that everyone has access to reasonably priced and high-quality healthcare, he added, the government would keep making investments in the healthcare industry.

"We have completed multiple projects for people's use in a variety of areas. It is not about commissions for us. As you can see, there are quite a few of these projects, and we may commission some of them on occasion. This hospital alone is one of them. Service delivery is our top responsibility, the governor declared.

Additionally, Governor AbdulRazaq promised that the other general hospitals in the state—at Offa, Omu-Aran, Kaiama, and elsewhere—would receive the same level of care from the government.

"From what I've seen so far, it seems really good. The caliber is excellent. What I have observed has impressed me. We want to expand upon this. We'll also visit Offa, Omu-Aran, Kaiama, and similar places to make sure they adhere to the criteria," he continued.

The Kwara State government's Healthcare Transformation Programme, which attempts to raise the standard of healthcare services in the region, includes the remodeling and upgrading of the Ilorin General Hospital. In addition, the program calls for the building of new clinics and hospitals, the supply of medical supplies, and the education of healthcare workers.

In the upcoming weeks, the Ilorin General Hospital's new medical facilities should be put into service.
