The court in the United Kingdom (UK) has approved bail for Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former Nigerian Minister for Petroleum Resources, in the amount of £70,000.


Madueke, presently residing in St John's Wood, London, made an appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday subsequent to being accused of bribery offenses totaling £100,000 as a result of an investigation conducted by the National Crime Agency (NCA).


The presiding District Judge, Michael Snow, granted the defendant bail but set additional conditions upon her, taking into account the perceived risk of her fleeing.
