On Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld Bola Tinubu's election to the presidency of Nigeria in the general election of 2023.

While wishing Tinubu and his team well in their tenure, Buhari stated that the opposition had put up a strong fight and should now concede the results of the election, allowing the Tinubu/Shettima government to concentrate on fulfilling the promises it made to the Nigerian people throughout the campaign.
