Atiku has set a condition to resolve the conflict with Tinubu.

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice-President and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming 2023 election, has stated the conditions under which he would cease his opposition towards President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku, who finished in second place in the election, had filed a legal challenge against the president's victory. However, his petition was dismissed by the Presidential Tribunal.

The presidential election court dismissed the allegation of forgery. Despite the court's ruling, Atiku persisted with his case in the US court. Eventually, the US court ordered the release of the official documents that Atiku is seeking to include in his appeal at the Supreme Court.

He argued that there were discrepancies in the certificate Tinubu submitted to the INEC, which should have made him ineligible to contest the election.

At a press conference held in Abuja on Thursday, Atiku expressed his determination to remain steadfast in pursuing his goals, stating that he was not willing to give up.

I have already submitted my appeal against him to the Supreme Court. I will only cease this fight once the court has ruled in his favor. In other words, I will drop this fight when the court rules, as there is no higher court than the supreme court.

When asked about whether he was being pressured by Tinubu to drop the case, Atiku revealed that he became aware, after the election, that a delegation of governors had been sent by the president to approach him.

"I didn't even allow them to come to my house," remarked the PDP presidential candidate, eliciting laughter from the audience.

He further mentioned that he had no fear of them targeting his business interests. He recounted the incident where the license of Intels, a logistics company he co-owned, was revoked during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
