Anambra: Security operatives rescue kidnapped Catholic priest, 3 others, recover guns, vehicles

Through the efforts of its special squad team, the Police Command in Anambra was able to free a kidnapped Catholic priest and three other hostages without incident.

The information was revealed in a statement that DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, signed and provided to newsmen in Awka on Saturday.

Ikenga said that its Forward Operating Base (FOB), which is made up of military and paramilitary services stationed in Aguata and assisted by Police Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu, was responsible for initiating the rescue.
